ok so i picked up six 420cc 450sel injectors and a top fed fuel rail but i broke a pintel cap on one of them i know i need it to mount the o-ring to them im wondering if you guys know if i could use a z31 pintel cap as a replacement since its going into a z31? also does anyone have any advise on removing a pintel cap?

 

Pintle caps aren't supposed to be removed. 99.999999% of the time, you will break it if you try to remove it.

Ask / search around for a local fuel injector shop. I found a local injector shop here in Salt Lake City that has a massive cabinet full of pintle caps... the only crappy thing is they sell them for $3-$4 each for a penny worth of plastic. You can also search on ebay and find wholesale bags of caps. You need to know the injector tip measurements, so you'll need a caliper.

 

ok thanks and i wasn't thinking of removing them from a z31 injector, i was thinking about ordering z31 pintel caps and putting them on the benz injectors but ill check ebay thanks nismo.
