BARTCO alum vg30e and vg30et flywheels

hey guys i thought i would stop by and say high and let you know that i am going to be cnc'ing out alum flywheels for the vg30e and vg30et motor... i recently aquired the cnc so i am expanding the parts i make.. i mostly make parts for the s12 or 1984-1988 nissan 200sx... i am co-owner of www.club-s12.org so you can check up on me there to make sure im legit(username bartc_j)

anyways back to the topic... i will begin runs of these flywheels if theirs enough interest.. these will be made of alum with replaceable steel friction surfaces. price wise they will run $325 if theres at least 3people who order them together or they will run $375ea...

let me know if this is something you guys would be interested in.. i also make hords of other parts like alum control arms, rear camber kits(s12 has the same rear assembly as the z31) big brake kits, fuel rails, turbo manis... and now pretty much anyhting else since i have the cnc now....

There aren't tons of "Hardcore" Z31 guys on this forum, but I imagine we do have a handful of members who would be interested (just gotta give it time for people to see this thread).

I'd be interested in S30 / S130 cnc parts... as I'm sure many others would too.

Z32 community is low here to, but the S30 and S130 being interchangeable you would probably pull a great market all around, alot more than the Z31 area anyways. price it competitively and offer group discounts on hybrid here and the other classic z car sights you would probably have a huge interest.

probably not. nobody wants a flywheel they can't read a review on.

hard to go wrong with CNC if you measure right and its balanced, and non integral surface = sex. also, you obviously don't know s130/s30 guys haha

DOHC heads. lol. thats the dream. but realistically you should gather interest on flywheels and maybe some other simple stuff like different mounts that were weaknesses in the S30 or mounts for popular motor/tranny swaps...

Fuel rail, solid rear cross member bushing pucks, R200 cv axle adapters, 60mm throttle body adapter, wheel adapters, big brake mounts, the list goes on and on. Most of these are simple items (Courtesy of Jeff P's website):

the worries with flywheels are warping (like fidanzas on drag racing turbo Z32's...), and being too thin and flying apart. i don't remember which ones do that, but it happens! also if the friction surface is replaceable and how long it will be available. but to sum it up, people want to read how hard others have been on a flywheel without it warping.

any flywheel can fly apart thats whay almost every car has a scatter shield made. as far as warping, most companies and research will com up with a thickness to help and put through testing and stuff before jsut distributing. and honestly, for a discount price i would be a guinea pig in my S30/S130 lol. and by discount i mean free->cost of material :P

but some flywheels are obviously more likely to fly apart, and the reason people would want to read a review is to make sure that that research you mentioned was done.

lets try for things you dont see often. i was wondering about a piece that will close the upper part of the rad support for better flow. some more camber kits would be cool for the s30. fuel rails for the vh would be cool. other people make them as well.

As for the price on what you said on Aluminum flywheels I can't see that going too far as you can get a Fidanza Aluminum for that price, so it'd be hard pressed to compete against it, but yeah some of the things these guys are saying would be really awesome. What someone really needs to make is a good flowing aftermarket intake manifold that isn't ridiculously expensive.

i'd be all over a set of adjustable upper rear links for the Z32 that cost less than $200 and didn't break. they are just super expensive i think. i guess they aren't really, but it's still a lot of money. maybe a little hard to make though. and there are about 4 other companies that make them as well..

go away ^^^^ no one is going to make anything for the Z32 cause they are to complicated and already have aftermarket support out the butthole. lol. and yeah camber plates for the struts to mount into up front, all around, whatever. haha. as for the intake manifold, that would be amazing! but idk how easy that would be to make, but if you could and sell them for less than 400 bux you'd be in business. lol. cause the weakest part of the L engine is airflow.

i still vote DOHC head haha. just wish that guy that made one could get it set into computer measurements/program for cheap punch up the CNC to run it and just carv out solid alum blocks into it like it was nothing, then theres the problem of a cam though and custom length timing chain. but god that would be amazing. sooooo amazing...

it would be cool if it could use the toyota cams. not sure if they would be the right length though.

as i said its just a quote for now... im almost done with a programing of a ca18et flywheel and once i have that i'll be able to get a more accurate price as i estimated as close as i could with the above prices.... honestly i may be able to be in the 250-275 range but i wont know until this weekend

250 you could def do some damage if it is a strong end product. GL with all. hope we see some S30/S130 series parts in the future.

i started a new topic thats more open to all platforms to discuss any parts or ideas.. so if one of the mods could close this thread that would be awesome as id like to keep everything contained in one thread...
here the link to the new thread.https://www.zdriver.com/forums/showt...007#post257007
