I'm curious to know what a good option for a master rebuild kit would be for the turbo on my 1987 Z31? I have a spare turbo that needs some refurbishing and I would like to DIY it. My base knowledge of turbos is limited, which is why I would like to dive into this. I know that it is a Garrett T3 turbo and has the Nissan proprietary 7 bolt pattern. Will any decent quality T3 rebuild kit work? Also if I wanted to replace the cartridge, are there any good options for that? The impeller on mine seems like it's in good shape, with no play or resistance, but it would be helpful to know. I appreciate anyone who can provide me with a confident answer!
