I Hear This Knocking Sound When I Drive About 5 - 10 Mph.sounds Like The Knocking Sound Is Coming From The Rear.. Neone Have Any Idea What This Is...?? Or Experienced This Bad Problem On A Z31? Shyt Sukkkkks

 

Have you ever put it up on jack stands and got under it to look?

 

from the rear... welll.. could be a few things... but the worstest of them all is your rear diff is goin bad. but yeah. lift it up, take a look at all rotating parts and such.

hopefully not the differential.. are those pretty pricy? guna have to look it up.. im guna just have to throw it up on a jack and have me n my dad scope it.. but thanks thats a reasonable cause for it... hopefully not but it seems like it would be it... it makes the sound when im just cruisin it at 5-10mph not braking or gassin it... just letting it roll... ionoooo shyt suxxx but i can control the sound some timess.. by the way i drive.. late braking and always gassin it

 

they arent usually cheap. but that might not be the problem. look under it forst move some stuff around see if you can locate where exactly the noise is comming from.

 

it could be a wheel bearing, a warped disk or a bunch of little things...mine does it but its just the e-brake rubbing, i can't hear it when i'm going any faster tho...cause i have no exhaust...or the stereo's bump'n...

 

thats why i say look for where the noise is coming from before you go pricing out diffs to buy. lol.

 

yeah or he could buy zhag's from her fairly cheaply...i might even just to have an extra..but what ever he better snag it before i do..lol.

check your brake calipers first---my na did that a long time ago.....

 

i got new brake pads a couple days ago.. but im thinking it has nothing to do with the calipers because it makes the sounds after i let go of the gas at 5 or 10 mph.. still making the sound around 15....... not putting force on brake or gas... and it sjusst making a click.. clickkkkk clickk!!! clickk!!! sound aghhh..

If it's a click-click-click sound, I'd be looking at your CV joints of the rear axles. Make sure none of the boots are torn. A dry joint, that will start to wear down, can make that sound after a while.

BUT IT JUST CAME OUT OF NOWHERE.. IM GUNA HAVE TO TAKE A LOOK WHEN I HAVE TYME.. THANX FOR TH RESPONSE GUYS
