I recently bought a 1985 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. It's power radio antennae doesn't work, It just stays down the whole time. It sounds like its affecting the sound quality. I called a Nissan parts store but it was so expensive it wasn't an option.

Anyone got any experience with this?

Know where to get an aftermarket one that fits?

You generally just have to buy the mast. I believe that's about $20 or $30 from the dealership still.

 

Is the antenna getting power or making any noise / attempt to raise? If not, you might want to start with tracing the wiring and checking the relay / switch.
