Hey guys. So we are in the process of gathering parts for the Z31 Swap. I know for sure that the new ECU/MAF have to be from a Turbo model, but does the fact that it is 5-Speed/Automatic make a difference? Looking around, it seems to be easy to find Turbo 280s, but most are automatics... Will that part make a difference in the swap, or should we hold out for finding a 5-speed ECU?

 

where is norman OK?? is it near omaha??

 

Omaha is in Nebraska... I am in Oklahoma... a little bit of a difference there...

Norman is just south of Oklahoma City...

Auto / 5speed ecu's don't matter.

All you need: 84 Z31T ecu, Z31 MAF (turbo & n/a are the same), any VG30 distrib chopper wheel (usually easier to find from a Maxima), and a spare set of Z31 ecu plugs w/ several inches of wire to work with.
