I'm so pumped. how hard would it be to convert to a manual? if its auto.

ANY ONE KNOW OF RHD datsuns I'll take em!

theres one forsale on the sandiego craigslist but he want WAY too much. and converting auto to manual is easy, but you would need to go with custom pedals or an aftermarket pedal box.

no you wont hoov. you just get the brake/clutch pedal assembly from a manual ZX the rest of the cars are exactly the same, its time consuming but very easy and straight forward nothing custom is needed.

if anything just drill new holes in the firewall the mount it.
RHD still has clutch on left, gas on the right.

Man if you got that you'd be my hero. I've seen a couple RHD Fairlady 280Zs but they're always 2+2s. It'd be awesome to see someone with a 2-seater RHD fairlady Z.

...with a huge turbo hanging off the left side of the engine that would normally not clear a steering column.

Bleach I like your thinking. How about Twin-Turbo? The Biggest two turbos you can fit. But seriously that would be pretty cool. As everything important is on the driver's side in the US and I never find myself needing to get down far on the passenger side.

ya, twins have their purpose.... but on an inline its a lot of piping all on one side. ESPECIALLY on the L-series where it is not a crossflow head.

you often see people run a large single turbo on an RB26deT(T) slightly more lag but less stuff to go wrong and still plenty of power.

It seems like even on most Twin Turbo cars people have a tendency to switch to a larger single turbo setup when they build for all out power.

This is the same car! I got these pics off an ad several years ago.

With how rare the 2-seater RHD 280ZX is, I wonder if its the only one in the USA. Also, its remotely possible that it is a converted Z.

Wow...first RHD Z I've ever seen. Anyone ever drive a RHD car in a LHD world? I think it would trip me a out the first few times.

All the older Z's had them on the right side. They are designed to be close to the driver but Nissan didn't care about us LHD people enough to change them. I also think that is why the gas filler is on the right side of the car.

In a 350Z, they are on the driver's side of the console for both LHD and RHD.

Hmm idk. I think for it to be legal in the states if you have one shipped you have to swap the speedo to read mph if it doesn't already. But then again I just brought that off the top of my head so don't quote me or nothing lol

Nope, as long as the speedo had both MPH and KPH it was legal in the states. For some reason, that one has the US 80 MPH "limited" speedo. Maybe his old one had a problem and he had to replace it...
