i changed my timing about a month back and ever since then when i crank the car it starts fine and i can get it rolling out of first but at 1500rpm (through all gears)under load it wont rev(it will catch and gain rpm and then stop again but its not droping revs .) When the car warms up it does fine so that seems to show that its not timing?And the i read some stuff about the cold start injector but i doubt thats the problem, if anything(i replaced old leaky injectors while back) im getting too much fuel and im fowling out the plugs....

hard to explain, i might be able to get a video but can't today(because the cars already warmed up)

 

So what is the timing set at right now?

Have you checked all the basics?

-CHTS (If equipped)
-AFM
-TPS
-O2 Sensor
-Spark Plugs
-Cap & rotor
-Vacuum hoses
-All sensor & ecu connections (corrosion can impede performance)

 

reread my chiltons manual and realized i didnt get the engine up to temperature before i set the timing, that seems to make sence...

Chilton's sucks in a big way. LOTS of outright wrong information in those things.
