what's the plan for the spring/summer
So, what are you guys going to do to your car this spring/summer?
My plans aren't that significant, they're all small jobs i want to get done: install a new Speedo, get my wheels aligned, replace tires, new battery, new spark plugs, replace brake pads and rotor, replace air filter.
My big plans down the road are to get some new suspension, new exhaust, new intake, remove and replace rusted body, and new paint job.
How many of you guys are auto-mechanical guys? or just fixing/playing with your Z as a hobby/project? I'm more of the latter - there so much to learn and do

well i PLANNED this i dunno if i will do it lol...
-new struts and shocks - already bought em
-new clutch kit - already bought
-new brakes + rotors...also paint the calipers..
-exhaust 2 1/4 straight pipe with a muffler thats it (no fartpipe)
-k$n for intake
-i need also a new AFM boot oh and ill probably get turbo AFM if i can get one
-new sparks- bought
-spark cables
-new coil
-new vaccum hoses
-clean up the engine totaly - i also wanna create a total engine cover...
-redo interior and soundproof everything - half way there
-total new deck and stereo set up with 10 freeflowe speakers and 2 12" OR 1 15" sub...
-paint
-fix up the rims n chrome them...and get some chrome mouldings
i think thats it....
im signed up for machining i start in summer...after that im signed up for mechanics....maybe down the line open my own classic restoration place....im 18 now...so 280zx is a hobby love it so much...

well lets see.. my car is pretty much almost done but theres a few lil things i want to do by next winter... i want to finish up my interior but before i do that i want to sound proof my Z with dynomat and build my custom sound system.. ivve got pretty much everything already i just need to make a speaker enclosure for my door panels.. then tint my windows.. change my ball joints and re do my suspension.. mount my rims thats been sitting in the garage for about 8 months now.. lol i just need the tires.., white face my gauges.. and for future plans... drop in a brand new rebuilt 83 280ZXT engine tranny and dif.. i just bought a 83 280ZXT last month for $100 and it runs.. lol only bad thing is its a 2+2 so im just going to gutt it out and take the parts i want from it... and by then i should be done with my car... till i find something else i want to do to it like make my doors open like a lambo diablo lol.....

I have a lot of work to do :-)
This week i have lowered and moved back the engine.
New intake and exhaust manifold
New throttle chamber
Bomz alu-wing
A bit of painting and fixing things up
removed the head and got it machined
replaced the bumpers
Later this summer I´m going to install my turbo and try to repaint the car (been practising on a datsun cherry :-))
