What's this.

The vin # plate says hs130-2219-- but the book says it should read kh-s130-jfvbc what does this mean it's a 1980zx do any one know what this means.

Page 6 of the 280zx Haynes manual... if you are confused about the "K" it means the car does (or doesn't) have t-tops.

Hmm, an "H" at the end means a "High Altitude" model? What, does it fly? Well, many of us have seen those old 280ZX commercials from the 80's where they compare it to a jet... ^_~

It's faster than a jet.

I remember reading somewhere that at least I thought on the 79' and 80' year models the VIN was different before it became more standardized. That it followed the older S30 VIN style.

so you have a right hand drive car?

Does your dash VIN match the other VIN stamps on the car?

That's some useful information you could have added to your first post. Obviously foreign designated cars will have different VINs than cars produced for USA.

have you ever posted pics on this website? Got any you can upload?

If its the 2-seater car in your avitar then that's pretty cool. 2-seat RHD S130's are hard to find.

DUDE

but your VIN number says it is a JDM right hand drive car... maybe it is really a Fairlady Z that was converted to left hand drive.

did you think right hand drive meant that you shift with your right hand? I don't know how someone confuses that

I'm gonna get a car where I can make it right or left hand drive. It'll have a dash that has pieces that you either swap in or out to cover up the other side, and for the pedals they'll be covered by a kick panel so the passenger won't be able to get at the pedals. It'll also have a switch so I can disable the other sides pedals in case I need to. It'll be awesome, then I'll sell it for millions.
