Mine smelled like (and still does a little) a bucket of ********

just the old car smell... anything to fix this? I've febreezed it MANY times, and it helps for a few days.. plus keeping an airfreshener in the car at all times.

 

Heh, I completely redid my interior, new carpet, seats, n' all. That'll get rid of the musty smell!

 

haha...mine smelt like oil, gas, exhaust, and rust....
now it smels like paint (i painted the interior)

did you try washing out the carpet and seats with a nice smelling soap or something...

 

Get a strong vacuum and thoroughly vacuum out all the upholstery too, while letting the car air out.

 

like a gas leak, I fixed that..

still smells a little bit like ledded gas.

 

yea, mine smelled a bit like oil, but since i have replaced the carpet, seats and CLEANED EVERYTHING. but the worst is moisture. its a bastard. gotta stay dry to keep stank away.

 

my 240Z smells like Z! nah, really, my Z smells like the leather seats, the smell of the dash, and a slight hint of exhaust, due to the leak I used to have.

 

mine smells new one owner just wish it ran ............

 

mine had a weird smell to it, not really just an old car smell but like a weird BO/old fast food/dead animal smell, but thanks to the t-tops and a carpet cleaner the smell is pretty much gone, except that once in a while occasion when i get a whif of it and it reminds me.

 

Mine smelled like wet dog... nasty rank-*** wet dog. The lady I bought t fromt loved to drive her frickin black lab around in it!. Now it smells like new carpet.

mine smelled like an old datsun... my dad use to have a 76 datsun pick up and yea.. my Z smelled the same way..

 

I think a bit of "all of the above" for my ZX. had it parked in the garage for a year with the tops off, windows down and the back hatch open and it still smelled raunch. if you cant afford a new carpet just yet, you just gotta take out the seats then go over to Home Depot and rent out their shampooer. its works so well that some small scale detailing shops rent it out to clean the worst messes. worked like a charm on mine. no more bad smells and the carpet that I thought I would have to replace looks great...

 

tekanitrus, how did you fix the smell of the fuel leak...mine smells like that and I do too when I get out. absolutely the worst.
