Water In Manifold
Water In Manifold
Okay, first off I'm fighting a war against coolant in my oil. Anyways, I've checked the head gasket, along with almost all of the other gaskets. I've changed all of them and the only way I can see that water might be getting into the combustion chamber in through that little valve that is on the bottom side of the intake manifold. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about how to correct this problem since I am out of ideas about what could be wrong. Thanks in advance.
if your getting water in your oil i doubt that it will be coming from the water line that connects to your intake manifold.. im even thinking you might even have a crack in your engine block which would allow water to mix in with your oil... when your running your engine are you getting white smoke out of your exhaust? and does it smell like coolant vapor? if you do then you have water entering your firing chamber....
there is the possibility that a water jacket inside the block is cracked or rusted thru. you can check this by using a radiator pressure gage. hook it up to your filler neck and punp the hell out of it. get alot of pressure and wait. it would be better to drain the oil and leave the plug out for this test. as you will be able to see when the coolant comes out. sadly if this is the case is requires a complete rebuild to fix
