the truth... HURTS!

ok, so i got my 83 280zx turbo from my buddy with a bad head gasket. When he picked it up, he drove it for about 20minutes until the oil temp was near 300 and he shut it off and towed it. I was contacted by a previous owner via craigslist that he had it for about 5 days and sold it due to a bad spot on the frame. the guy he sold it to beat on it and blew the head gasket, thus selling it saying it was ok to my buddy. apparently the guy tried to fix the bad gasket, not replace it... so im finding out that the car i thought would have been an ok fix isn't really worth me doin a damn thing on really... its alright though, didn't cost me much, but it's the point that people in this world are so hard up for a little money that they have to lie about stuff to make that mighty dollar. I am honest when selling a vehicle, telling them exactly what i know and what i have heard. now hearing this, idk what exactly i should do with this car... here's a pic of the beauty in all her glory. lol.

Tear down the motor & inspect for damage. If there's nothing major, about $500 will get the motor refreshed and running like a champ again.
