Mmm... that hurts.
Mmm... that hurts.
yep.
So, normally I don't go into my personal life, well... when it comes to monies any way. but today is an exception. TODAY I REBEL AGAINST BANKING!
I get paid on Fridays... Direct Deposit on Thursdays @ Midnight. No biggie... I go to sleep, when I wake up, my monies are in the bank. I happened to check online banking this morning to see what all had cleared. I saw an amount of:
-$56.78
"huh..." I think to myself.
Direct Deposit went in... why the negative???
I scroll down, I see "Top China Buffet", "Chevron", "Publix", your normal stuff... and then what do I see?!
COUNT' EM! 21 INSUFFICIENT FUND FEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
those babies are $36.00 a pop!
36 X 21 = $756!
For those of you Infamiliar to Insufficient Fund Charges (or NSF Fee's for the lamers) THEY ARE THE DAMN DEVIL IN THE FORM OF BANKING!
That was my paycheck in it's entirety! Plus the negative that remains! Luckily nothing is due this week, So we'll live on Credit Card purchases until my wife get's paid (alternating friday paychecks, you know)
what sucks is each of these 36.00 were for purchases of like 1.60 soda or 7.00 on some tylenol! so I'm drinking my $36.60 20 oz. soda and laughing in shame as I see my bank account in it's glory.
that's when I get my revenge! ACCOUNT CLOSED.....
I was in check care already from an accident I had when I was 18 (oddly enough, it was the same situation!
this sucks that my whole paycheck for this week is gone though...

I hate NSF fees too. My father wanted to get Dish Network in our house, but because his credit is shitty, he decided to have me put it under my name. I thought "no problem, he'll just pay the bill and we'll be okay", so I gave them my bank account information, made sure they didn't want a contract, and they came out and installed the service, no problem. We had the service for a couple months until my dad hit a financial snag, and couldn't pay the bill for that month. I called Dish Network to let them know, and they said that since we weren't on a contract, that we didn't need to worry about it. They said that they might send out boxes to send our recievers back to them in, but since we were going to pay our bill, they said they'd make a note and just to ignore the boxes if they were mailed to us. I was pleased with how far they wanted to accomidate me as a customer, so I thought all was well. Fast forward a week later, and I got my tax return check in the mail. I was excited, it was around $400, which is quite a bit for me when I only made $4k the year before. I had $50 left in the bank, which would have given me $450 altogether, which I was going to spend on getting my credit card paid off, and spend the rest on stuff for the Z. I rushed down to the bank to make a deposit, and the teller deposited the check, but was asking me if I wanted to open up a credit card that way if I ever had any NSF fees, that the credit card would cover my bank account for the missing balance until I could pay it back. I declined, thinking this was kind of weird, and then asked for my remaining balance. The teller looks at me with a look of pity, and says "you are negative $300 in your bank account." I about **** myself right there, I was totally pissed, and I looked at her and said "you had better be joking...why the hell is my account that low?" She checked my last few recent transations, and what do you know, Dish Network charged me $400 for recievers they said that they wouldn't charge me for, and because my account went negative, all the little items I bought at the time put me even more negative. I had $33 NSF fees for a 70 cent soda I bought at work. I was pissed, called Dish Network back, threw their recievers in a box, mailed them back, cursed at the manager, and two weeks later, they finally refunded me my $400 for the recievers, but refused to help me out with the NSF fees, so my whole tax return check was gone. So, needless to say, we don't have dish network anymore...or at least from what they know...
