I'm all for modifying a Z, and you probably guessed that I do visit HybridZ a lot. Engine swaps are a great way to increase your automotive knowledge and skills. If an engine with better efficiency is available to replace the L, I'd say to do it. Why limit yourself to a motor with a dying demand for aftermarket parts? I'm not a purist by any means, and don't really care what engine is in my Z as long as it makes me happy while driving. For me personally it'd be either an RB or JZ. These cars aren't going to be valuable exotics, so who cares what's in 'em.

bad Japanese translation and other misinformed people don't justify the mistake.

The idea of a 4 passenger being called a 2 plus 2 is not unique to the Z. A while ago trucks with a rear bench seat were often called 3+3.

No they don't. You're all morons making the same mistake.
The Japanese who made your car say it is a 2+2.
The other Japanese who use the term 2 by 2 don't know how to speak proper English, and neither do you.

You like original, I like modified. Different tastes, but whatever. The prices on S130Z's isn't going up. Look up on Craigslist, Autotrader, etc and tell me when you see an average 280zx topping even 5K, which is what a motor swapped EG6 Civic will run you. Here in SD, 280zx's have averaged 1800 or less since the day I've owned my Z. S30's have actually gone up a little to about 2300 for an average Z. Anyway, to the OP, skip the n/a 7M and get the turbo version for a few hundred more. You can find those for ~$500-800.

funny thing is is that its now hard to find an s130 on modified car trader, craigslist and autotrader(you might find one or two) but 3 years ago i visited autotrader regularly looking for cars and they would have 9 or 10 s130s... but your right that dosent mean the price is going up...

your right about the s30s too, the price is definately going up on them cause there easily recognized as a classic car... i think i saw one in an magizine for $5000 and it had several spots with rust dammage
