Toyota Supra Engine - $200

OKay so I'm not so sure about this but might have potiential to be a project. Dont even know if it would fit. Supras do have straight 6's right. I think they do. Heres a 7M-GE 3.0 litre 6 engine for sale for $200. Okay in reality I wont really buy and attempt to install this engine into my z but would only like to have the power. http://westslope.craigslist.org/pts/702287825.html

200hp flywheel for a whole lotta fabbing headaches? Not worth it to me... but if you have lots of time to kill, and mad fab skills, and don't care about doing all that for a couple extra hp... go for it.

Wow that engine only has 200hp. Hmm Seeing and reading and hearing about supras I only had visions that a supra engine was a great engine to have. Guess this is an early one and a n/a one also.

Yeah yeah.. I was schooled by NismoPick. I took a look at the site he posted with all the Supra engine specs. I really didnt know. Im not a toyota person. Deff would like an RB series engine or even an SR. Prefer SR20det. How bout you school me on whats the difference ont the colors of the TOPS. Is the Red top the top rated SR?

Darn sounds like a lot of schooling. I think I will keep my car stock and forget all this schooling.

Only one way to learn... research (it is a good thing...).

If you want more hp, start digging. It is fun!

Well depending on the year and if it's a 7M-GTE then you start off with 230hp. Although it'd be worth it for the fact that the stock internals can take quite a bit of power. I mean figure that those engines would pull a Supra from 0-60 in 6.6 seconds, and a Supra is quite a bit heavier than a 280zx

my opinion is that if you dont know that a supra engine is a striat 6 them you probly shouldnt be messin with the swap...

school is good but uti is a crock... they send recruiters to my school about three times a year(cause of our auto shop program) and we tear them apart cause the recruiters dont know anything about the school and its like they have never actually been to the school.... one time they brought halo 2 to try to convince us they were "HIP"... well they came to the automotive program not the computer programming class so they had a rough day that day...

i mean come on... they have a SUPER STREET program.. ricer heaven

but if things dont work out i go to Val Tech and work in the retread shop at the tire shop my mom sells tires from... go NERO tire and brake!!!!

If you plan to go with a Supra motor, use a 1JZ. Nearly identical mounts to a late 7MGT-E and has a lot more potential without the headgasket issues that plague the 7M. Plus it's cheaper than a 2JZ unless you buy a J-spec Aristo 2JZ and find a rear sump pan for oil. It just depends on you fabrication skills and how much patience you'll have. If you're going RB, try a RB25 Neo. They get better gas mileage and make more hp than a standard series RB25. Just beware the clutch setup is different. Go for an S13 chassis SR20 if you want to SR as it has the high port head design. Be sure to change the water pump and get an underdrive pulley for the pump as that is the weak point on an SR. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Obviously you didn't know what 2+2 was when you made your ZDriver name. Remember your intro thread? Lets look back:

I thought someone said they had a pic of you holding some kind of alligator. Was that found in the swamp by your high school?
