where do I get them?




No its not my Z but I left him a note saying to come to Zdriver!

 

They look like knock off Fairlady S30 fender mirrors. The Fairlady S130 had plastic fender mirrors like the US door mirrors.

 

I know but I'm looking around to try to find them as I really don't like the door mount mirrors, their far to close to really be useful. That and I always liked the fender mounted mirrors better lol If I could I'd order the real thing from a dealership

 

they look like motorcycle mirrors...

 

I swear I've seen that on a motorcycle before. Either get some real fairlady ones, or just do what he did and rig up some nice ones you find.

 

The closer the mirror is to you, the more you can see behind you.
Rig up some Z31 mirrors on your doors if you want to see more.
rig up some fender mirrors if you want to see nothing.

And Bleach I've never even heard of that, they don't even remotely mount the same do they?

 

no, Z31 mirrors do not mount the same at all.
The front part of the 300ZX door has a little metal triangle that sticks up that you mount the mirror to. You would need to do a little welding. I installed a Z31 mirror on a Datsun 620 truck and it was great. It looked good and has much better visibility than the 280ZX mirrors.
Or just find a mirror that looks somewhat like that. Take a look around the next time you're at a wrecking yard. Maybe a 1985-96 Maxima will be similar and have a better way of mounting.

 

I might get the fender mirrors and try them anyways If I don't like them I'll see about modding some door mirrors to look nice. Not like I cant mount the "fender" mirrors to the door. That is if there better closer

 

try ebay found them on there just now for around $50
