Ok, I just bought a '76 280z from my brother in law, and as I was looking at it. I noticed it has a mirror on the drivers side, but not on the passenger side. I haven't looked at it real close. I was just curious as I have never seen a car with a drivers side mirror but not a passenger one.
Comments anyone?

in portugal (where i'm from) it is very usual on +20year old cars. You just don't use it as much

 

For some reason they did not put passenger side mirrors on early Zs. I dont think they started factory untill the ZX in 1979. Most people go aftermarket and just put a set of sleeker looking mirrors on both sides

 

Cool thanks, I am so used to using that passenger side mirror, it will probably come in handy. I'll have to check into that and get them on there.

Not unusual to have only one door mirror on cars of that vintage in the U.S. Only the driver's side and interior rearview mirror were required, unless you had a truck with the rear view obscured.
