taillights won't shut off

taillights won't shut off

taillights won't shut off even when the car is off and the headlights aren't on what would i do?

check the brake light switch behind you brake pedal it might have broken and stuck in the depressed position it is a common thing to happen to older cars. btw your brakes work wether your car is on or not thats for every car too

You know I had that problem , with my car it was the plastic cap that broke into pieces so it left a hole so the switch could not be press, I bought these pieses at the Nissan place they cost about 2.00 for one, I bought 4. Six months latter my Z32 did the same thing, so looks like they are for all the years.

or you could have used some of those interior nail/fastners and did if for nearly free!!!

I just used a stainless lock nut and bolt that fit in the hole. I won't have that problem again.

yup that's what happened, the thing was cracked, and it wasn't pressing the button
