swapping clusters..
swapping clusters..
okay so i have a cluster from my parts car that im going to put in my driver. but i took the two top screws out of the facia plate and cant get the things out. its like the facia is connected to the clear plastic cover/cluster.. it pulls like very little out and wont come any further. anyone know?!?
There's two more screws on the bottom behind the steering column cover. You'll also have to either take off the steering wheel, or unbolt the column from the dash cross frame. And don't forget to disconnect the speedo cable.
Well there's only 4 main phillips screws holding it in (two above holding the colored trim piece, and two below attached onto white tabs). There may be rubber shims to hold it in place, but it should slide out.
new problem.. these pins the chrome ones circled.. those two connectors i have to get off and they dont snap or anything i dont think but they are on there with a brute amount of force.. i dont wanna break anything so any suggestions on them or just pull the F'ers ?
Hi,
I had similar problems when I removed my cluster to clean it.On my car the speedo has a connector down in the footwell by the brake pedal.I needed to disconnect it here to move the cluster forward enough to release it.
