wouldnt that like.... defeat the purpose of the 60mm TB if you use the stock size J pipe? idk, maybe thats just me. just save up so you can buy a IC and then have a nice shop make you up a intercooler piping setup. just wait take your time and do it right. no need to rush these things

i don't think that that would defeat the purpose.... it's not neccessarily "optimizing" the potential. this is just for now... i do things in baby steps because i have 3 project vehicle going and i still like to drive them so i do a little to each at a time... trust me it works and you don't get overwhelmed with too big of projects. btw check this site out. http://www.siliconeintakes.com/index...d6778c125dadb4

The stock J-pipe is not set up to use a normal coupler (take a look at it & you'll see why). You'd need to cut the squeeze flange off & a bit of the webbing on the curve to use a coupler... which would be the same amount of work as just making a new J-pipe. Like Snw said... using a 60mm TB by itself does nothing. The intake system has so many air restrictions before the TB that need to be taken care of first.

In your yard do you run a tiny 100ft garden hose to water a huge area? It's the same idea here.... too little too late.

i realized i have to cut the webing and the buble coupler on there... i have another stock j-pipe i'm going to mod to do this. i don't have any piping to make my own... and i wouldn't even know where to start.

AutoZone / Checker / NAPA / your local muffler shop... they all have pipe. Or you can get mandrel bent pipe on the internet. Cut it to length w/ a hack saw, sawsall, or chop saw. You really need a MIG welder tho...

gett an intercooler system setup isnt that big of a project. i really recomend doing it all at once. it will feel MUCH more rewarding and a bigger difference in power feel as well. and asthetically it will be even even even better!!!! dont rush little things. just sit on the idead for a bit. you can wait trust me.
