rear valance corners

So, I am in the middle of my "replace the leaky heater valve turned rustoration" and have finally made it to the back of my Z. So far I have been able to fabricate all of the repair patches myself, but I have come up against a part that will be almost impossible for me to make myself. The corners that wrap around from the lower rear corners to the rear valance seemed to have been replaced by several gallons of finely sculpted bondo. Does anybody know where I can find replacements for the corners? Places that sell the few sheet metal panels don't supply the corners. Otherwise, does anybody have a parts car that they feel like cutting this part off and sending my way for a fee?

Here are some pics of the area:

passenger side rust cut out

driver side still needs to be cut

Thanks,
Justin

Check your local Nissan dealer, www.thezstore.com, www.blackdragonauto.com, or www.courtesyparts.com.

Thanks Nismo, but nada on:
www.thezstore.com
www.blackdragonauto.com
www.courtesyparts.com

And I don't even want to hear what the dealer would charge IF they had anything.

Any other ideas??

Justin

Junkyard or the MSA rear fiberglass bumper covers that whole area.

So... you'd rather just search and search and search, than just simply calling a Nissan dealer to ask how much they charge? Nissan is about they only place you'll find it. Or you can pay well above what Nissan would charge, to have a body shop fab one.

PS... I replaced both quarters, and valance on my car...

Actually, I was just waiting on a return call from the dealer, with a little bit if sarcasm thrown in there. Dealer is a no go as well. they have no stock anywhere in the US.

I wish any of the junkyards around my area had 280zx's in them, but alas not a single one in the past several months.

I was hoping someone had a secrect supllier for these parts or at least a parts car that they wanted to take a cutting wheel to.

Nismo, when you replaced your quarters and valence, where did you get your metal from?

The Nissan dealer I worked at. Nissan had them in Cali so they just shipped them up here. Of course, that was 8-9 years ago too.

I think your best bet is to cut out all the rust, make patches as close as you can to fill in the holes and then order the MSA fiberglass rear bumper and valance. It's really a nice piece. Check out Ice's car. If I didn't already have a historically correct full body kit on mine, that's the way I would have gone.
