Radio only works in Stereo
Radio only works in Stereo
So I bought a new radio for my 280zx (a factory one) and I got it from a 1981 (fully loaded), to put into a 1979 (not fully anything). The radio works ok on AM and is loud, but on FM it is super quiet. While playing with it I got, for the briefest of seconds, stereo and it was loud. That leads me to believe that the radio doesn't think it is getting a good station and therefore making it quiet. Does anyone know why this would be? I can hear it is OK quality, just super quiet (on FM).
Thanks!
Thanks!

unless you know what you are doing troubleshooting is going to be very difficult, you could take the radio apart and see if there are any obvious things wrongs like a broken wire, or a burnt resistor. taking it apart isn't too difficult, i took apart my analog radio pretty easily when i had to fix the station changing ****, you just gotta remember how everything goes back together.
OK been tearing at the radio, and I think I have figured something out, BUT in order to "prove" it I need to get the specs for the original speakers. (Ohm and watts). Can anyone provide that? Or a link?
Thanks!
Thanks!
HI NismoPick, always nice to hear from you!
I looked through the wiring diagram and the Body Electrical and couldn't find those things, could you direct me to a section?
I do not have the original speakers to look at to get the information off the back.
Thanks!
