I bought a Rack from my local parts store and it seems to be clocked wrong. A line will not line up right and if it was just reclocked 20 degrees or so it would fit. I am sure it is possible but it looks like it would be a pain in the **** to do it. I don't know if i would messing up any seals or what not by reclocking it.

Can/should I reclock it or try to return it?

i wouldn't be surprised, more than half of the shyt i have bought from autoparts retailers was wrong on so badly made i couldn't use it...


id say take it back ask them if you can (and still be able to return it if you have any problems) if not id just return it

 

Maybe you could post a pic so I can visualize the situation? What is it that you want to re-clock? The entire rack?

This kid is right!!

I took it back after work and told them my problem. We pulled up the picture of the rack and they could tell it was off. They ordered a new one to compare it to. I will be back there tomorrow at 11am to check it out. I am going to bring the cross member to make sure it will work.
