a question for the do-it yourselfers

ok once again thx to all the kick *** z fans in this forum, was wanting to know if there was a guide to removeing the molding around the exterior of the car? when my car was restored back in 98 i went with black trim professionally, well moving into the new era i am going with chrome. i have all the parts just not sure of the removal and installation process, especially around the t-tops

It's pretty easy... remove the screws that hold them in place. The windshield top & bottom pieces slide out either side once you've removed the L & R a-pillars. The hatch ones also slide out.

dont forget to use some kind of sealer on foam tape on the mouldings aroung the door openings. Ive already made the mistake of just slapping them back in.
