I was wondering if anyone here uses the Universal coil from Accel.. What are your impresions on it? Do you guys recomend it?

 

just stick with the stock coil.

 

meh, nothing wrong with it. Its a coil, it makes spark.

your not going to magically get more HP putting it in or anything.

 

I tryed it. My engine was burning so much oil i needed the extra spark power to geet the plugs from fowling out. It worked for about 15 miles, then could not power the engine over 1500 RPM, took it back got the silver one, same thing just about 15 miles. I droped in a Solid coil from a N/A Z31. worked great and kept the plugs cleaner for a couple hundred more miles. Still runnin it to this day with the new engine. All you need it the stock Z31 plug, Coil, and two good wire crimps. No other adjustments needed(for 82-83)

 

i used a Blaster 2 coil, it helped smooth things out a bit

 

I just got the car a few months back and was fixing to change most of the stuff on it , not sure when the last owner did the tune ups... But thanks for the feed back
