I had the Centerforce stage 2 in my 87 300zx and it was great! I am looking forward to seeing the suspension updates as I need to replace all of my bushings and at the least the struts.

After that I will go through the brakes and underneath the car. And also get a performance clutch. (Probably a Centerforce stage 2) Then check all the electrical after grounding things to the body. (because of the engine being out right now) Then after that I am going to get a remanufactured engine. I just don't have the time to rebuild an engine right now. And I want to get this running by winter at the latest. Of course the engine is 2k plus a core charge. Those have gone up in recent years. And if I want to put a cam in down the road. It is not hard to do. Then also I am getting new tires all around. (Still not sure if I am staying with the stock 14's or go to 15's. That is still in the works yet) Then go through the interior, clean it up make it better for daily driver status and such. Then take the car to a body guy, and take care of my spare tire cover (which has got a hole clear through) and by my right taillight. Which have rust pretty badly. Then when all is said and done, I will be close to 4k when the Z is ready for the road. Still cheaper than a new car. And then after everything I will have practically a new car.

So after I am done with the Z. The Neon will be next, fix the wiring. Then sell that, then my Firebird will be after that. That is all for now. More updates to come in the near future.
I have a set for you if you still looking $200,come over and pick it up.Tokico shocks and struts with lowering springs.Only have around 15K miles!
Let me know if you are interested.
Also I have a brand new still sealed box a of tokico lowering springs and rear front shocks and struts with same part #.......$400

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I don't get on this site as much. Kind of bums me. Anyway, if you still have the $200 set let me know. And are they all four?

Update....

Because of the great hookup from somebody on here. I am getting a new Tokico HP255 kit for my Z. So soon I will be getting underneath, and going through the under carriage. As well as putting the new springs and shocks on. Pics will follow....

Okay.....not a lot to update. But I decided to rebuild my engine and such. It will be cheaper, and a great learning experience. When I get a chance I will be taking the crankshaft to the shop to have it hopefully just polished. And then this winter, I will be rebuilding the engine and fixing up the car. Will update as I go. Probably start here in the next few weeks......

Head options

Okay I have been doing some searching on the web, and am trying to figure out what would be the best head to go with my rebuild. I have a P90 that has been rebuilt, but have been told that I would need to do some modifications. I read that the E88 and N47 are good heads. But of course the P90 seems to be the best flowing head out of all of them. I want to put a 280s Competition cam with Cleavite bearings and rings. With a de-webbed intake, and coated headers. Also a stage 2 Centerforce clutch.

I am not trying to get a lot of power out of this build. I just want a little more than stock, but still good for a daily driver. And I am staying n/a on this Z. I will turbo my other one later on. So any thoughts tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. And I will still be doing more research online also. Thanks in advance.

P79 is the NA version of the P90. Port match and polish the head yourself. Just be careful around the valve seats. Basically you're just getting rid of the casting ridges on the intake side and cleaning up the combustion chamber when it's polished it's harder to have buildup. Unshrouding the valves is usually one of the main things that is done on these heads to get them to breath better. You can also shave the head some to raise the compresion ratio. Talk to Shady280 about those mods..

Well this project is being put on ice for now. See my other thread, and you will see why. I will be getting back to this later on. This still will be my next daily driver in the near future. Stay tuned.... And here is the thread. https://www.zdriver.com/forums/other...m-truck-39108/

I have been doing some thinking, and decided to rebuild the engine. The biggest expense will be the cylinder head. As I can get the main engine parts from work at a discount. So probably this winter I will get this Z running. It really wouldn't cost much minus the head. Just more time than anything else. Will keep you updated when I get some progress.

Yeah that does look nice, I am a little broke right now. Hopefully here not to far down the road, I will be able to get started on the rebuild. I need to fix the wiring in my Oldsmobile, and then the Neon and sell that. Because they are both in the way of me getting to my '83.

I will keep it in mind though. Thanks for the offer. But I do need to get tires and such for my Firebird right now. I will keep you posted. I could use it, that would save me some money. Considering I can just throw it on the engine. Then all I need to do is get a Comp. cam for it (280s) Is there any way you can get the sleeves out of the exhaust ports? Because I want a more free flowing head, I plan to also de web the intake and such. And then put armor coated headers on it.
