Pics of me new(?) '79 280zx (WARNING 56K)
Even though I'm low on cash, I found out theres a 280zx at a junkyard about 5 minutes away from my house. My dad said he'd buy some of the parts for me if they're cheap so tomorrow I'm off to cannibalize the other car get a seat belt fastener thing or w/e cover for steering wheel (I miss the Z) and a back bumper. Hopefully it's still in tact.
I'll put pictures up if it's a success.

REMOVE THAT DOWNWARD BEND IN THE INTAKE!!!!! your going to suck up water like that. just disconnect the downward bend and pop the filter on the straight piece. water in engine= NOT GOOD! lol and yeah its not to bad, its all surface rust from what im seeing (i did scan a bit quik though) and the under carrage only has spots so i would stop those to make sure it doesnt go threw the floor boards or frame rails. speaking of floor boards, lift up your carpeting all of it and look for rust there to, under the floor mats and teh rear hatch carpet

It's to dark to take more pictures now I'll take some tomorrow after my trip to thee junkyard. And I can't believe I forgot to take pictures under the carpet, I actually feel like welding some sheets of metal down there it's pretty thin and theres a small hole next to the clutch. I got the insurance for the car today, I'd have my tag but they closed the place at 4:30 so yeah bummer can't drive it till monday.
Anyways, thanks for the advice guys.
if your going to weld "plates" just do it right, cut out the old floor boards and get new ones welded in then. but that underbody rust seems to be from and idiot. and i say that becuase they jacked teh car up on the body instead of using strictly the front cross member and rear diff or the jacking point in the rear. they crushed that metal ridging and it started to rust. D-bags lol. but you got an LSD so get the rust fixed get some power adders and go drifting. lol
I have no welding skill nor the tools, but I'm sure I could find someone to do it.
I was looking through my Black Dragon magazine and noticed that the rear quarter panel could be removed (yeah, n00b moment)...so tomorrow I'm going to try to take it off the car at the junkyard and replace mine with it.

lol, i think the rear quarter panel needs to be removed..... by torch action. its seamless if you look at your car so i'm 99% sure its welded there and not bolted, so dont wast to much time in teh J-yard

hmmmmmm..... i actually didnt even study the diff picture. lol!!! and i told him to be sure to take on and everything. ill take a looksy
EDIT: i think you may be right, what a dissappointment. only one way to know for sure, rev her up and dump the clutch, then see if the tire marks start at the same place and stop at the same place.

Well if it's not getting gas that sounds like not such a big deal to diagnose. My guess would be fuel filter, fuel pump, or fuel injectors clogged. Does your fuel pump hum when you turn the key to the ON position?
it might be that micro switch in teh AFM we were talking about once. if you open the AFM and see the little slide and contact device, it may not be touching or etc. and your fuel pump wont turn, not at all, and that is a huge reason people dont get fuel, but, it could also just be a dead fuel pump. alot of people wire in their own relay and just hardwire the fuel pump so it works as soon as the key turns to on, that way the afm can suck it. lol. go out and test it, turn the key on and listen/feel the fuel pump and see if it does the 5 second prime, if it doesnt do anything, unplug it, and get 2 wires and directly hook it up to a car battery, if it doesnt turn, your pump's dead, if it does turn then you gotsta find out why the car isnt giving the pump power.
Also relieve the fuel pressure, just to be safe, then pull out your fuel filter and check if that's clogged. One way I was told you can test it is, try and blow through it. If you can't then it's clogged.
