I have Esurance now. STAY AWAY FROM ESURANCE!!!

Geico isn't too bad, especially if all you have is liability. I did have a claim with them once and had no complaints.

I have never seen any company that would insure even my truck with just liability for as low as $50 a month... that is so cheap...

Yep, I've never found a quote cheaper either. My dad was in the Millitary, so we got USAA auto ins, but I think anyone can join now.

I got a low quote. Then a few weeks later they jacked my price up. well, actually twice for two separate things they supposivly found in my record. I proved both wrong. So then they dropped my rates back down part way but not to what they originally quoted me. In the mean time I'm out the extra money they stole from my account because its all setup for auto withdrawl. Their employees are morons and don't know what is going on down there.

I have no tickets and no accidents ever. (the one claim I had with Geico was my ex-wife's fault and is not on my record) They wanted $130 a month for liability on a Datsun truck and full on a 280ZX. I live in the same state as you. I really don't see how my rates can be so much higher. Right now I'm paying about $72 a month just for liability on the 280ZX. I can't switch back to Geico right now because Geico now wants half of the first 6 month policy up front... I just got screwed by esurance so money is really tight. I ended up paying approx $150/mon for 2 months of liability on one stupid $1000 Datsun truck because of their incomitance.

I dread ever having to actually have a claim with that company. I'm sure a $500 claim would bump my rates up to $200 a month. Plus, their website has fewer features than Geico. I have to make updates online, then call in to customer service to make detail changes. Only certain features work. Geico was 100% automated. I only switched because esurance promised slightly lower rates, and I only have liability insurance anyway.

that is weird. you are over 25 too, i'm not. and i would think the z32 would cost a lot more to insure than any datsuns. i do wonder about what will happen if i ever have to file a claim though. but they had the best rates, and i've used them for almost 3 years now and havent had a problem.

All insurance companies suck It's just a matter of finding the one that sucks the least. It's usually that you either pay more or god forbid you ever have to file a claim with one of the lower cost companies. I generally tend to go with the cheapest and just try not to hit anything

Wow! I live in one of the most expensive places you can as far as car insurance goes. I pay about $150.00 per month for full coverage (up to $500,000.00) on all my cars... That includes the 280ZX, The Z32, The Porsche 930S, The PT Cruiser and the Frontier. I guess being 36, having a spotless record, married and having kids who aren't old enough to drive yet really pays off. I am also with State Farm, who accroding to most people are not known for low rates. It pays to shop around.

Rod.

Most insurance companies in australia wont even give me 3rd party property insurance. I could only find 2 companies that would actually give me any insurance at all.

Comprehensive is 2300 a year for me... and atm im paying about 500$ for just 3pp a year of course... im 17 and male....

Insurance policies . . .psh. they should call it in case sh*t happens policies. So that in case sh*t happens, you're covered. But if sh*t never happens shouldn't you get your money back?

Thats REALLY high for just liability. I've never had to pay anywhere near that much for liability, and that goes all the way back to when I was 16. I've never even payed that much for full coverage. And I dont have a spotless driving record. No accidents but plenty of speeding tickets.

EDIT: I should also note that I'm only 24 so...

PIP = Personal Injury Protection. I don't think you can sue yourself...

If you get the basic, you get $3K PIP. So if you get in a huge accident & end up in the hospital for 3 months and have a $300K bill, your auto will only pay $3k. So yes, you might have the hospital put a lien on everything you own to get the bill paid. That's the only "sueing" that can happen.

around here hospitals do not have much power in getting back payments from people. Not like that.

How about health care? Do you have that? 300K is an awfully large bill though.
