Right on apollo, sounds like you will get turboed before me. I hope this year I will have a turbo setup. Have to see where I will be financially. Good luck to you man, and hope it all works out for you.

Dude!

Apollo!

I still think your current motor is all good. You don't have nearly enough miles on that thing to be throwing in the towel. Forget about the turbo swap.

Just go get a 5HP leaf blower and hook it up to the intake!!!!!!!!!

It will either go REALLY fast, or blow the F*&k up!

Either way, you'll no what shape your motor is in!

Rod.

Ok, i'll trust in your vast wisdom and experience and "blow" my motor, Rod! I actually have a spare Milwaukie leaf blower/ mulcher lying around. Looks like my project for tonight is set . . .

On a more serious note-
After overlooking my financial situation, ive been reconsidering doing a turbo swap and just rebuilding and upgrading my NA. You guys think i can build a decent amount of power out of my NA? Its just that i have to have this thing done and running by april, and not because of MSA, but because my lease is up then and i doptn think i'll be renewing.

Ugh, limit, i hate that word. But yes, i guess i do have some sort of limit to how much i can spend. I figure around 1 grand or so. Maybe more if i can procure more money in the time being.

But if i go with a turbo, im not going to just lob it in there. i would rebuild, upgrade. Anything i put in there is going to be rebuilt. I dont want to have to repeat this job. Im gunna do it once and do it right for around 1 grand. Is that possible?

you could jsut rebuild the head for a lot less that a grand... just get her running for MSA and after MSA you can save up for the turbo swap.. **** you got most of it done already.. im sure the bottom end of the motor is fine.. just work on the head...

If you rebuild and buy all new components for the engine, you can't even do a stock NA engine for a grand.
new injectors, all new gaskets, water pump, alternator, rings, pistons, valves, ect...
