Not starting

Hey guys my car is not starting and I know it's the starter in some way, you see it's been taking more and more time to start the car because I have to continually turn the key all the way over and half the time it just makes a small "tink" noise, an friend of mine said that it is not geting enough power to the cylinoid is that ture and if so how can I fix it. please tem me anything you know about starter issues I know it's not the starter it's self because its a new one and it is still acting up.

Solution for a bad starter... BUY A NEW ONE.... if it is indeed the starter.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????? not very clearly stated. (It's the starter.... but it's not)

Maybe it's the ignition switch then.

What I ment by that is that it is somewhere along the lines of the starter area not like the engine or something. sorry to be so unclear.

Mine did that at first. I looked under the hood in a lil black box marked Fuse Links. I had one that was burned though, but barely touching. Replaced it. starter was workin good.

1. clean the battery terminals or buy new battery cables and make sure the top of the battery is clean
2. make sure that battery is fully charged. Buy a plug in charger if you need to
3. Jump a small wire from the battery + directly to the small wire on the back of the starter solinoid. This should crank the engine over. Be sure the car is in neutral

If the starter doesn't crank when you hot wire it, then your new starter is a defect.

no corrotion and I will try that stuff later today if I can I am at work right now and I will get back to you, thanks again guys.

put a msd blaster 2 coil in even if that does not fix it it will sure help when you do fix the problem

Not the best advice I've ever heard... but hell... if you have cash to spend on whatever...

Don't overlook cleaning the cables at the starter end either. It doesn't take too much exessive resistance to keep the starter from turning the motor over.

sounds like it could be that darn little yellow wire connected to the starter solanoid... that darn thing comes off or wiggles around it will cause that
