Newest addition to the Z Family

Here is my car. Its a 1982 280zx turbo w/t 5 speed T-top with 170,xxx miles. It does have rust but I have 2 replacement doors (which btw are extremely heavy and I had to go the the hospital last night because I smashed my pinky finger and broke it while loading them in the truck) a new hatch, and fenders and a few other body parts. It runs super good. I picked her up for under a grand which is nice! I can hear an exhaust leak around the down pipe so I went to get an estimate for a new exhaust and for a new down pipe, and 3" pipe and muffler I was quoted $400.00 for a whole new exhaust. I talked to my shop back in Wyoming and they wanted $600.00. I'm glad I made the purchase and I like driving it more then my 07 Armada.

Dope!

I'd shop around some more on the exhaust price tho... I paid $200 for a complete exhaust from the downpipe to tailpipe, and I know others have paid a similar price for their complete custom exhaust. It's a really easy setup and they should be able to do it in less than 2hrs.

That looks like a great deal. Rust looks pretty minor.

I will try to get some pictures of the inside. After I smashed my finger and then loaded the other parts in the truck I drove the Z around and I finally got home and looked at my finger in the light and right below my nail its completely crooked and bent to the side and that's when I had to go to the ER to get it fixed. The nail is black and about to fall off. A 280zxt...........$800.00 A trip to the ER for breaking your finger while loading parts for your 280zxt....$2,000 dollars. Getting to drive your brand new Z to the ER....priceless!!!

Grats on the new Z and welcome to ZDriver, keep us posted on your progress, always nice to know another Z is back on the road and getting some tender loving care. Sorry to hear you busted up your finger, been there done that, you must have a hi tolerence for pain like me... and you were probably running on an adrenaline hi like I was on my 1st drive home.
Loved the priceless bit
