A new car(sort of)

Well. last friday my master cylinder went out. so i down the Z. Monday was scheduled for a motor swap anyway. I took a HUGE gamble swaping out with an engine that i had no info on. Looked good. exhuast was clean. cam looked great. and there are sighns of a recent rebuild. So i left the trans connected to it. pulled and droped in my Z. At first i though it was about to sling a Rod. but after the new oil circulated threw it. Smooth. very smooth. Very deep sound from exhust. much beefer then my other engine. No smoke(mins a lil black from timing not set) great throtle. Very strong pull. so. New driveshaft. another tighter trans. new slave, new master, new oil pump new water pump. and al my upgrades from my other engine moved to the other one. plus new interor. just seems like a whole new car. plus it's running better then ever.

I can understand where he's coming from. I dump way more into cars than I'll ever get back because I just like to clean them up. It's my hobby (albeit an expensive hobby).

Hell, that blue Firebird in my sig is worth no more than it's weight in metal but I keep working on it.

You'll never get back what you put in. It's what matters to the owner. no one else

you'll never get back what you put in unless you're snw and you steal all the parts you use. oh wait, he calls it being resourceful... but really, i think he just gets lucky on the cars that he buys, and they don't end up breaking every week.

The only way I've made money buying pos cars is by pulling the motor, junking the car, then selling the motor. That's where you get people.. when they don't know crap about motors.

Maybe.. but the dude who sold me the trans-am with a `69 Pontiac WZ block in it really didn't know what he had. I sold the motor for more than I paid for the car.

i've made money on every car except my very first one, i even made money for other people haha. i made about 3k for my dad by getting hit in his sonata and having a friend fix it for cheap! and my first car my camry i totaled. but my Z32 got for 3.9k put in 500 sold for 5k. got the 260Z for 1k sold some extra parts it came with use that money to fund the turbo, then some elbow grease and sold for 3.2k then the 280z got for a steal for 1.8k put in 1200 worth of parts and all my labor (but all that money was christmas presenst for the most part) and sold it for 6k. YUP! oh also the 240sx bought for 1200 totaled got a check cut to me for the original 1200 then sold the interior for 500. PROFIT!!!!!!!!!!! buwahahahaha... and the dsm i got for 1.8k putting in a couple hundred dollars will probably get over 3k for it. profit again. you people just dont know what your doing.

MY 280ZX In my pic Ive gotten for $400 from a guy who just had the clutch miss-adjusted, I was EXTREMELY new to Z cars and thought it looks like the "Devil Z" Once I found out the Devil Z is a 240 2 seater that I have the completely wrong car T.T

ER anyways, idk what my ca ris worth but it you lov working on it every bit of free time you have then you really like the car
