New 280ZX Owner!

Hey, I became the proud owner of a Nissan Fairlady Z 280ZX a few minutes ago and now here I am.. She's a 79er, 5sp, right hand drive, the goods. A little bit of rust but nothing I wouldn't put many hours of work into to fix. Planning on getting that out of the way first and then priming her and getting her painted. Just wanted to say hello, and I'll be posting updates soon, but I'll read the board first to get some knowledge about my baby.

Congrats man, and welcome to the Z family! Hope your visit is friendly, and useful! What did you pay for her? And do you have any pics of your proud Z?

I paid $1300... No pictures yet, but I'll have some up by next week... If I can find a good angle... She needs a paint job more than anything, but I have to clean her up a little beforehand... I'll have pics up as soon as I get a chance to take some! Thank you for the warm welcome.

I picked her up on eBay... I was searching for the right 280zx project for two and a half months and I found the perfect one... I've been a big fan of the RHD cars... It also happened to be only 75 miles away from my house.. I got really lucky with it and I couldn't pass it up... Though I'll have to be pulling through toll booths and drive throughs in reverse, it's still well worth it!

Best part about RHD is the steering rack is on the side opposite the intake/exhaust...

Makes room for a MONSTER turbo housing... Ummm... Good....

Welcome to the Z world. RHD gotta be tricky to get used to. Probably makes parallel parking a lot easier though...

Parallel parking easier. Getting out from that parallel park, not so easy
