my yearly post

I didn't forget about you...

So i ended up getting totally screwed over on my Z affair. I have no Z anymore.

for those who don't know, I used to be a regular on this board, drove a 79 to the ground, and needed a new engine. called a "trusty mechanic" and got a quote on an engine rebuild, but he easily talks me into a V8 swap.

waited 8 months to get it back.. ran for about 2-3 months, then nadda.

sat for about 6 months, finally got it to a different mechanic who informed me I had totally been screwed over, and that I should just cut my losses.

ended up trading the Z for new brakepads and rotors on mine and my wife's cars.

sad story, eh?

FF to 2007.

Divorced, raising money to move to SoCal (almost there, btw) and driving....?

1986 Porsche 944. looooooooooove this car. it's very clean outside, and I recently remodeled the inside... went from tan carpet, dye'd black... tan door panels, dash, etc, all sprayed black w/ clear coat. then replaced the stock porsche seats with some sparco knockoffs from ebay. the middle pic was when I just had the passenger complete. yes, aftermarket seats are a Pain...

So what's new?

Woot Woot! Nice 944! As long as it's not "fuel distribution" it's all good! I wanted to shoot my 81 924T everyday!

Wow man, sorry to hear about all that. Oh man, a lot has been going on, I am in the process of getting another motor for my '83 here soon. I have my interior in my '82 over 90% done. Nice Porsche though bro', looks clean. Sorry to hear about the divorce, and the loss of your Z. Hope all works out for you man.

cool, it's good to see everyone here is still kickin.

ok, so I completely finished the interior of the porsche yesterday. Keep in mind this thing was tan leather in the beginning, with tan carpet, tan dash.... basically, all tan.

9 bottles of Rit Dye, new Ebay seats, some fresh black carpet for the back (because the front's carpet is still in great cond.), and about 4-5 cans of black vinyl spray paint and a couple cans of clear cote LATER....

FROM THE OUTSIDE:

A LOOK AT THE INTERIOR:

AND THE SEATS...

remember.... this is my original plans for my S130... they just fell short, but live on through the porsche!

if its ergonomics your after i for one wouldnt take any car other than a Z32... its like a cockpit everything at your finger tips. hehe... but yeah i do like what did the interior look like prior? before pictures needed! unless there are some i missed ill go back and check.

nah sadly i never took before pics... i should have. and kick myself for not.

i'll agree that the Z32 is very nice on the inside! but NismoPick is right about porsche's of this era.... it's just a completely different feeling!

oh, and I'm not so sure the world is ready for a look under the hood

i need to do a little cleaning...
