Yes... been discussed several times this month alone.

The larger one is your engine bay relays. Not really part of the EFI harness - it's part of the body harness. Nothing to do with the swap.

There is a short throw shifter that works on the FS5W, Zbum has a write up somewhere about it and we had a thread going on it for a while, it is designed for the 240sx, same trany, and it works on our Z's, why it does not get listed as so is a mystery to me. I am planning on putting one in my car, but money has been tight, when I do, Ill post a full write up and evaluation.

hey sorry for not keeping you guys updated. I removed the l28et from the 280 and put it on the engine stand. Im going to be doing a rebuild on it. I also noticed for the power rack and pinion swap i need to change the cross member, so i will be doing that as well

I bought it in a "parts car" lol. Score! Long story but the short version - z car nut built it moved away owed a guy some money gave him his car he couldn't take with him. Guy that had the car said he had a stroked 280ZX turbo when I was at a car show. Told him that was cool I'd love to see it. It came up for sale went and looked at it and found out it was a stroker and made a sweet deal on it. The guy selling it was an old school but odd ball old domestic cars so he wasn't really into the Datsun sceen.
Anyhow a lot of guys will say the extra money to stroke a turbo setup isn't worth the gain in HP compared to putting that build money into a turbo system (after market ECU, turbo, intercoolers, etc).
The L28's are bullet proof. You'll probably only need to rehone and a gasket set is typical. For around $500 you can get parts for a rebuild and a few upgrades (new pistons, rings, high volume oil pump, ARP head and rod bolts, gasket set and bearings). Northern Auto Parts has a 10% off discount right now so I got all the above for a four banger Z22 (basically an L series block) for $440 shipped.

That car looks sweet Leave it and go for original cherry. Buddy of mine just sold one of his 80's Honda street n Trail for 5500.00 The market is about to turn for 80's Odd *****.
