HELP! Urgent, pistons backwards.

Ok well rebuilding an l28et for a buddy, project was slow as making sure everythign had been over.

Well after some bad news, car needs to be up and running asap. So given the stress of time, I finished honing the block and started installing rings and dropping the pistons in. Finished maybe 15 minutes ago and as I turned the engine up to put the front timing cover on I noticed that not only did I install the pistons in the opposite order, but I also installed each one backwards. So that the notch is facing the flywheel. Engine still spins freely...

Can this be detrimental to the engines opperation? And am I goign to have to pull all the pistons back out and reinstall?

Just pop them out and drop them back in. It'll only set you back about an hour at this point. The order isn't such a big deal as long as you have new bearings and rings
