Still, $80 for a front cover and oil seal? I think I can get them from my junkyard for like $10...

And even HEAVY sandblasting shouldn't do that, but oh well...

why a mirror when i got pics? ha. homo. possibly an injector, maybe just a bad connection but it could also be spark delivery didnt i hear someone mention something about they saw an arc? in the vid that is... you always got this to look forward to:

how it should start

how it should idle n rev

ok not as high of an idle haha but it was on F-idle so it lower when warm

and how it should drive and break traction when accelerating on cold roads under boost

listen to my friend scream when the rear starts swaying haha. in his defense it did point us right at a mailbox at 60mph. haha. meh. still a baby. and yeah it was snowy out but the roads were dry just cold, it does hook up a bit better in warm weather.

well here's the update:
while i was waiting for my injector (one was leaking if you can hear me talk about it in the video) a kid in my auto shop dropped a socket into the valve cover...down the timing cover...so I spent the past week getting it out and getting a new front seal. Turned it on today and then about a minute it had this terrible screetching noise coming from the block then it died. tried to start it a few times and it screeeeched and i decided it was bad to continue. hmm....oil check = 4.5 litres but not one drop circulated into the oil filter...i think im going to sell this whole thing and drop Z's soon this is getting too frustrating so this is my last post bye bye Z's

is that you in the black sweatshirt? why were you not IN the car watching all the gauges and making sure everything was okay instead of sitting on the fender and revving it right after you started it?

Did you ever think that he had already done that before this video?

yes, but it's STILL a good idea to do that, especially with all the problems he's had in the car.

one clutch master cylinder, one clutch slave cylinder, one cut up and rigged gas pedal, ten feet of wire, 20 feet of electrical tape, 1 gallon of gas and 5 miles later:

he's home

now to get some exhaust, register it and get a license plate. I've never been so paranoid driving such a loud thing 5 miles, holy **** its SOOOO loud at 3K with open downpipe!! and the shreek of the turbo!!
