picked this up awhile back for not much, its got a little rust and 110k km pretty sure its a heavily modded 280zx. Is this worth anything as is? or is it worth fixing up?

This is all i could really find on the internet about the car itself

According to the article it's just a series of modifications done by some dude named Ketch. Apparently it wasn't very popular because I've never heard of it. I'm guessing less than 30 were ever done likely because people didn't like it that much. A "spectra'd" out 280zx is unlikely to be worth any more than a regular 280zx in the same shape. But I'm really just offering a baseless opinion. Everything is worth a lot to someone. But I doubt you'll find any Z-car enthusiasts that are really after that thing. Good luck though.

Bleach

I've seen that type of 280ZX before! Back in the 1990's there was a Z-car book that I would regularly check out at the library. Before anything about Z-cars was on the internet this was my primary source of info. There was a red Spectra Z in that book. A few years later I got an email from some guy (I had a Datsun website starting in 1997) who claimed to have bought the red Spectra Z from the author of that book.

I did a quick search and I can't seem to find for sure which book it was. I think it may have been printed around 1995 or 96 while the 300ZX was still in production.
