Head Inspection

Durning the teardown of my engine today, I noticed some combustion chambers have these scuff marks next to the intake valves?? All valves seem in place and straight..

If that is right off the car without any cleaning, I am impressed! And those scratches are from the factory machine work to give the valve enough clearance.

Nice detailed Picture

as always Nismo knows his stuff, looks like the casting just needed a tiny bit of cleanup.

Alright, sweet thanks. Ya it's pretty clean to my surprise 170k miles someone has had to have this thing apart in the near past. One piston doesn't have any carbon on about 1/4 of it..

Takng it apart due to low compression, tested 3 cylinders before the battery ran out of juice. 80, 70, and 60psi. Took it up the road one day after seamfoaming, went half a mile to turn around, ran amazing. After pulling in somewhere she was trying to die pretty bad, barely made it back to the house and never started again except one time by unhooking the AFM, it smoked like a damn train haha. Going to be checking the rings today.
