got her running, tomorrow it will be right.

Hello,

I took time off from work to really get to know my car. I did not post, but read archicves. Just took the time to read the fsm completely.

I had avoided doing that, because I felt I simply did not have the time...I was wrong.

I re did everything to spec and it is right...

I reinstalled the head, using new Nissan head bolts and gasket. I reinstalled the timing chain cover, added a new water pump and new oil pan gasket. The timing set is new.
All new sensors, cas in dizzy too.
Took wiring harness out of car and opened it up. Checked sensors and path to sensors with vom.
good to go.

Jwt ecu, Mercedes injectors, Ford Cobra Maf, Pallnet fuel rail...

I cannot tell you how good it felt to actually hear the car run.
Knowing me, I just had to go....First stop was the car wash....image thing.
Hybrid turbo, t3-t4, Jeffp's downpipe, [only] car hitting on all 6 cylinders, sounding very much like a v-8!!
People staring..at the car..got the first tank of prem.

I am happy now that she is right...or so.

I will dial in the timing tomorrow. The temptation to head out to I-55 South was great.

Work still to be done.

Thanks to you all for your replies to my post. I have learned so much.

kenny, jim bean has left the building.

Nice! So along the way did you find the potential problems?

None yet. Nissan built these cars right to begin with.

I have replaced the wheel bearings, rotors, brake pads, brake lines.
Polyurethane bushings were installed everywhere that you can put them...
Reman rack/pinion box, new rubber bushings from Nissan there, on the rack/pinion box. I also installed new inner and outer tie rod ends.

When I install the re-11 bridgestones she will be a zero mile car underneath.

Engine has less than 100k. Reworked head.

I have a P90 head, not the A, that I will at a later time, send off to the head shop and install the jwt cam.

The bitch pulled harder than I have ever had a car to pull with the timing mark somewhere below where I could find it.....!!!!

Will fine tune timing tomorrow.

Car is going to Little Rock Ak. to get a mandrel bent exhaust.

Potential problems, I am sure that there may be many and that they will have to be delt with...so until.....I'll enjoy the ride!

Yes...they are starting to crop up.

Timing: yada, yada, set it up per fsm. Fired her up, with the timing light aimed at the pulley, the timing mark, just above 0...tdc. good. Bring it down...
However...
The adjustment only allowed for 10 degrees btdc instead of the 20 degrees that I was hoping for, ran out of room???
Advise?

kenny.

looking to enjoy the ride.

There's another (8mm) bolt on the back of the distributor that allows the distributor to turn further.
