Good Deal or Not
Hey Guys and Gals, brand new to ZDriver and have a question about the purchase of a 1979 280ZX that I am considering
Never owned one before so any suggestions or things to watch out for on this car would be appreciated.
As mentioned the car is a 1979, hardtop, power options, body is good to very good, some very minor rust and blemishes.
Tan leather interior, odomoter showing 55K kilometeres.
Looks like the driver door has has some work, there is one crack where the bondo has given away. the rest of the car is all metal, rockers are good, quarters are good, wheel wells undercoated and no rust.
Undercarriage solid, the frame is showing some surface rust but nothing that a good oil undercoateing would not fix.
Car was certified for the road four months ago so I am sure I could get the owner to go back to the same shop and get it certified again.
I could probably score this car fo $1500.00 to $1700.00 is this a good deal or great deal?
I have attached some pics so you can see the potlential.
Thanks,

As scoreing my past three under 800.00 check under the carpet behind the seats where the rear sub frame bolts in. All of mine were either rusty or not even there leaveing one bolt holding the rear axle to the car. If the floor supports or intact and firewall is intact go for it. If you can take a bottle of water and pour it on the wind sheild. If it comes out in the car there is serious hidden rust under the cowl. As I have found
