Is this a good deal?
First of all, I came across this site and I like it alot. I just have a question for you guys.
Ok, I found a 1977 280Z with 31,000 miles. I am going to look at it either on Thursday or Friday. The owners said the only thing it needs is a paint job. Its silver with black interior. Also, its a two seater. Hes asking $5,000 obo. If everything is perfect like he says, is this a good deal?

Ya, that's pretty good. I sold a '75 Z with 73,000 miles for $4000.
It was in very good condition with a fresh repaint of the original color. I think I also sold it for maybe a little less than other people. Oh, mine was an automatic which is not as good.
ya, $5000 sounds reasonable. It should be in show condition though with only 31,000 miles.

Hey everyone,
I saw the car this morning and let me tell you...this thing is a beauty. I could not find one place that would have rust. No rust...no dings. The bumpers did not have any rust. He has all the paperwork for it. The engine however needed a little cleaning. Its not oily at all or anything...its just dusty/dirty. The paint was faded, but it didnt look bad at all. He said that he will be willing to take $4800 for it.
By the way, I got the VIN for this...if anyone can run it for me through CARFAX I will appreciate it. Otherwise, dont worry about it.
