I have a 81 280xzt it will start and run really bad but if I hit the gas pedal it dies I have good spark a brand new fuel pump all of the relays seem to be working I hooked a noid to the injector harness and it flashes, and in the middle of the dash has a square red light that used to say ok to start now it stays red. I hope someone can help me out

 

Sounds like maybe your AFM (Air Flow Meter)... There's been a ton of threads devoted to this problem. Check out the "Search" feature, it's your friend!

Yeah The Afm Sucks B@lls....

 

as for the little red light, there is a button next to it. that thing is called the self check system. press the button and it will tell you what is wrong. it really has nothing to do with how the car runs tho.
