Fuel Damper can be eliminated?

some time ago I changed the fuel pump, everything was fine, but suddenly one day the fuel pump started to sound louder, I've read here, that this is due to faulty fuel damper, I can remove it, or I have to replace it, bad for me is that here in Guatemala have not been able to find, found on eBay, but $ 100 + shipping to my country, I think is expensive.

Thanks in advance.

Take it off and see how it runs. It prevents pulsations to the fuel system. If it runs the same you should be good to go.
