how difficult is it to take off the front shocks? Is it like the rears with just the one blot on the bottom and the 3 on top? or do i have to take apart the whole assembly??

 

They are STRUTS, and there are shock cartridges inside. You have to take off the steering rack ends (usually you need a ball-joint removing fork), unbolt the strut from the control arm @ the ball joints (those are a biotch & usually require a breaker bar), and take off the 3 nuts on the top of the strut tower.

 

Ok thanks i was hoping it would be easy like the rears were.

 

if they have never been done, youll have to remove the oil, and guts from inside the strut canisters
