James, did you paint the hood vents yourself?? I want to do the same with mine with flat black, but am wondering how waxing would affect it (will it just smear waxy white residue all over the black paint or what?!). If you did do it, what kind of paint did you use??
Also, you know that flange of body under the doors that hangs down? I painted mine flat black and it helped make it disappear and gave my car a cleaner, straighter look under there...
Thanks

Thanks. I do have all the pics from the site, but I wanted one to use as wallpaper to give me some encouragement...
I'm also wondering where you got the flat black window edging, or did you do that yourself as well?

Make sure you apply good coat of clear paint over the flat. Else they tend to chip off easily. I tried to email you the new pic but the file size is too large for hotmail. I will have to use my work email to send the pic to you monday.
I just came back cruisin up and down Pacific Coast Hwy Huntington Beach with the top down. Ahhhh life can not get any better than this. Just me and my fair lady Z...no wife no kids...
I can not wait for this Mar 25th-28th MSA Z Meets in Orange CA. It will be fun and I hear MSA will also have a blowout sale inventory clearance too.

Thanks for the paint info. I looked under my vents yesterday, and it seems most of the threaded posts are missing, so I'm not sure what is holding them on all the way around, so I may postpone the paint til I get another set. I know a guy bringing in a couple of 83's from Florida, so I'll see if he has a good set.
Yeah, there is nothing like a good highway and the tops off. Especially the no wife and kids part. I enjoy that myself every once in awhile...
Thanks for trying with the pic. I can't wait to see it as wallpaper.
MSA meet sounds like a blast. One day, maybe I can do a California run and go to some BIG shows...
Talk to ya later

Each Z has its own beauty, I can't say which one is better and what not. I stored all the badges and molding away in case I might change my mind in the future. As for now, I love the clean look on the Z. Only the hood Z emblem is a must.
Carl, I took your advise and painted the flange black. Woowwww...what a different. I will email the pic to you soon.
