Good luck on her

 

Hey Hey Hey, Mississippi Z club is on her way. We have only two Z's right now, but another in a week or so.
My freind that was looking for a good Z, found one today. 150$ runnin. 1st gear on 5 speed was said to be bad when we bought it. but it was more like the only gear's that did work was 3rd and reverse. But we have a spare 5 speed trany that's great. She fired right up. the fuel pump is geting no power what so ever. so we had to run a red neck wire right to batt, but this was only to start her. I will be tracing wires in mornin to find out why no power. Oh yeh, this car is in even better shape then my z. Almost perfect, body is great. inter is great, only bad thig's are trany and pump wires, Oh, And it's not a 280Z, It's a 260Z

 

Wow that is a great find for a rarer Z! Tell your friend congrats on finding a 260z, for a great price! Also is it a 2 seater or a 2 + 2? Because that was the first Z to have 4 seats. Anyway good luck on finding out the problem. And post some pics of that 260z, that would be sweet bro'!

 

Yeah those are a hard find. And for a great price and in good shape too. And in MS no less I've seen about as many 260Z's in the classifieds as I've seen convertible 240Z's

 

Well I got some bad news and some damn good new's. Good: My Blue 280ZX Fired up for the first time in 3 year's today. Bad: she'll only go for about 5 sec, then a click in Engine bay, and she'll die. What is this clickin noise? And the 260Z is a 2 seater.

 

The clickin ain't nothin, At least not yet. she's dieing becouse There's no gas in the tank. Only reason she will start and run for a few sec is becouse I prime her. she burnes it of, and die's. I should be going up to the store get me some gas here in a bout an hour or so. will keep updated.

 

Yeah, It's always good to have gas in your car if you want the motor to run.

This made my week, Hearing my Z for the first time after so much hard work. She sounded really mean. sounded like a big boy 460. and my muffler and cat are still on my car.

 

Tommarrow I will be replaceing a few things on my motor. like all 6 injector's. The pic below of course show inlet and outlet fuel line's. Thye are both presureized and have plenty of fuel in them. My motor will fire up when primed. burn off prime, then die. So it's not geting any fuel from tank. both them lines have fuel, so I am thinking injector's. or maby presure regulator. if any one has had a problem like this. suggestion's are alway's welcome
