Fairlady Question
Fairlady Question
You guys were very helpful in the assessment of my 280 ZX that I regretfully had to sell. Went for $5300 on Ebay after an initial hiccup from a failed bid from an Arab prince. It found a solid home in Alabama. My neighbor and I were talking and neither one of us can come up with what a "Fairlady Z" is. Both of us have a memory of a lacy paint job...perhaps we both saw a "one of a kind" version. Could someone enlighten us on what an actual Fairlady was? Years; Colors; Options, etc. What made it a Fairlady? Also, what was the name of the little Datsun convertible that was made in the 70's? Just spitballing...thanks for your wisdom!

Thanks SBM! My neighbor knew of the convertible. I didn't recall ever seeing one...be neat to see a pix.

And I don't believe there were many differences aside from that.. Fairlady emblems. It was a name.

Thanks TPS! Went to the links and read how "Mr. K" named it for the Broadway Musical...which apparently doesn't market well here in the good 'ol USofA...and "Z" hadn't been used alphabetically. Now all is right with my world! Thanks everyone!
