Fairlady Z
To my understanding, a Fairlady Z is just any Z car which was released in Japan, correct? They aren't any special type of sport models like the American SS cars, right? This coming Saturday I'll be purchasing a '82 280ZX, and I was considering buying some Fairlady Z fender badges... but I wanted to make sure that those weren't actually different from a normal 280ZX. Thanks for your help!

Re: Fairlady Z
hey man
i own the white 83 fairlady in the rides section, there are differences but none that will stop you changing badges
mine wes debadged when i got it so i picked up all 3 fairlady badges for $5 from the wreckers
the style of lettering on the badge is the same as the ZX lettering as well, if your going for the correct badges for that year

Re: Fairlady Z
well first up i thought all fairladys were right hand drive as they were for the japanese market, although i see alot on here with the fairlady name but they are left hand drive so i maybe wrong on that (anyone want to enlighten me on that?)
yes mines right hand drive, so theres a fair bit there like the battery on oppisite side, steering and brake booster interior has the center consol lid opening the oppisite way
another is that some came out with only a L20 engine and i think some with an L20ET and the turbo looks like it sits closer to the center of the manifold
apart from those i dont think theres much difference apart from being right hand drive
if you want to see some close ups, take alook at my web page you might pick up on something i missed
